August 2014:
A bit of a catch- up here… I
think I had something to post several years ago, but it “got lost”.
Sorry Annamarie! The clue that I had forgotten something was that I had a
picture of her in the website index, but had never posted it. Here it is, taken on a trip to San Francisco in 2007.

I spoke with her in the spring of
2014 when I was trying to find Wendy’s whereabouts. Annamarie said that
if everything goes well, she will be retired “Soon”. I hope everything worked well.
January 2009
Hi Bob-
Sorry everyone has been mean to you, I promise I won't!! This is a hard time to
be very optimistic-but the good news is my two youngest daughters are
graduating within a week from each other, one from Barry Law School and the
other for the Univ. of Central FL. I still am finding it hard to believe that
Joe and I won't be paying tuition payments any more. I flew to TN this past
summer to meet my new adopted granddaughter, Angela. She is a doll and I am
hoping to go this summer for a return visit.
Wendy is planning a visit to Naples in February and I am really looking forward to seeing her again. We had a great time together last year. I tried to organize a mini reunion with Barbara, but she was already committed for some other travel. She is planning to be here in 2010.
We are all trying to stay afloat in this dismal economy, I guess all we can do is hang on.
Congrats on becoming a grandparent, there is nothing else like it.
See, I wasn't mean to you one time.
Take care and thanks for emailing me-
Annamarie

December 2007: Annamarie sent this note and a picture:
Happy New Year Bob, I can't believe it's time for news!! This time I have some-yeah!!
My youngest daughter, Amanda, and I went to San Francisco in early May for a week and had a wonderful visit with Barbara Kemp-she was the hostest with the mostest!! We spent some time in San Francisco and then went across the bridge to Tiburon and Sausalito where we had lunch and explored. That evening we went to the Stinking Rose in S.F.- the food was great-lots of garlic, hence the name. I hope we can get together again sometime soon. I have attached a picture that was taken on the Pier right before we took a boat ride to Alcatraz-my daughter's #1 place to go-she loved it.
My other news is a new grandaughter. My oldest son and his wife have just adopted a little Incan girl from Guatemala named Angela. It was quite an ordeal and many times we were holding our breath that all would go as planned. I am happy to say that she is in TN with her new family. Hopefully, I will be able to see her very soon.
I hope that 2008 is a wonderful year for all-thanks for keeping in touch.
Annamarie

January 2007: An Email from Annamarie:
Hi
Bob, Happy Holidays to your family too!!
I have some time right now to respond to your inquiry for tidbits for "The Meeting House". You are right, it is difficult to come up with something exciting. But, this year we were all blessed with an addition to our family. Another grandson, number 5, was born August 25th in Orlando. He will continue the family dynasty being named John August Schwemin IV-a big name for such a little guy. Of course a multitude of pix have been emailed to everyone.
Joe and I are still waiting to sell our house in Naples, and move a little further north in FL, but the real estate market is very slow right now so we are just waiting it out. I am hoping to take my youngest daughter, Amanda, to San Francisco in May for about a week's visit. And, of course, we will be seeing Barbara Kemp and I have a cousin who also lives out there too.
I have finally added your email to my address book, and I promise to keep in touch more often. You have done a great job for a very long time and I am appreciative of all your hard work.
Take care-Annamarie

Hi Bob, Thanks so very much for keeping in touch with me, you brought back
some very fond memories of FA. I think of our years together quite often-I just
wish I lived closer to take advantage of our reunions.
Quick summary-Joe and I are still loving FL. Latest news is about scuba
diving. Joe, my daughter Amanda and I are certified to dive and we are planning
a couple of trips this spring and summer-Cozamel, etc.
All the five children are great: Vincent (33), Cathy (31), Jay (30), Sarah
(21) and Amanda (15). Eventually we will be empty nesters, but there are always
grandchildren coming up: Stephanie (7) and Benjamin (3). Do not even try to
figure out my age, I tell everyone "29 and holding".
I am very busy with the jewelry end of our business. Not much free time now, but that's retail. Joe is here everyday too-it's been a challenge working with your husband!! But, all in all, it's worked out well!!
I will try to keep you posted of any new events-thanks for creating our web page.
Annamarie
04-06-02:
I spoke with Annamarie, and she said that things are pretty normal and routine.
There are the usual twists and turns of life and self- employment, but nothing
newsworthy. She is pleased that she will be a grandmother again soon, this one
#4.
