Dave Pratt wrote me in early February 2001:

"Shortly after graduation Roger changed his name to Ethan Mordden. He is the author of several books on the history of the musical theater (Better Foot Forward for example). And other books as well."

Thats all we will know until somebody else reports, or until Ethan steps forth.

May 2001: I have excerpted something more about Ethan from an E- mail I received recently:
"...however, Ethan Mordden is acknowledged as one of america's foremost music writers,having published several best-selling books on opera and soon,musical comedy. I have never seen him since early days at Penn,but have read his articles in the New Yorker and they are superb.
