February 2003: I received a short note from Wilkie; it doesn't tell much, but it sort of shines a light into that dark cobwebby corner that we all can see in the distance...
Hoping to stay fit and healthy, I continue to jog. I find that aging has slowed me down, so recently trying to recapture the days of my youth, I enquired my time for a marathon I ran in my prime. (there was no clock at the finish line)
I leapt for joy when the race administrator told me I had broken three hours, finishing in two hours and fifty four minutes. I didn't realize my accomplishment at the time, thus never ran Boston.
I extend my apologies to all alumni not athletically oriented for sticking out my chest!
